AED 17.1 Billion UAE Central Bank's Gold Balance

The UAE Central Bank's gold balance increased to AED 17.10 billion at the end of August, an increase of 6.59 percent or AED 1.05 billion during the 8 months of this year, compared to AED 16.045 billion in December 2022.

The data of the statistical bulletin issued by the Central Bank showed that the Central Bank's balance of the yellow metal declined on a monthly basis by 0.72 percent, or the equivalent of 124 million dirhams, compared to about 17.22 billion dirhams in July 2023.

The Central Bank's gold balance has witnessed remarkable growth over the past years, rising from AED 4.044 billion at the end of 2019.
